FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
The key answers on buying, shipping, payment, warranty and running ASIC miners with JEWO. Your question is missing? Send us a request – we reply within 24 hours on business days.
Ordering & Prices
Why are there no prices in the shop?
ASIC prices can change daily – they depend on coin prices, manufacturer allocations, exchange rates and logistics costs. Instead of maintaining list prices with a safety margin, we calculate every quote at current market conditions. You get the real market price, with volume discounts on larger quantities. A request takes less than two minutes.
How does an order work?
Five steps: 1. Request via the form or by email. 2. Individual quote within 24 hours (business days). 3. Order confirmation. 4. Payment by bank transfer, crypto or card. 5. Shipping with tracking after payment is received.
Does JEWO sell to private individuals?
We supply companies, self-employed professionals and business customers (B2B) – including sole proprietors without a trade register entry. Import, taxes (reverse charge) and support are built for commercial buyers. Planning to start mining commercially? Talk to us – we will tell you what you need.
Is the hardware new or used?
New by default: factory-sealed with manufacturer warranty. Used or refurbished units are available on explicit request only – clearly labelled and with an honest condition report.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, we deliver from a single unit. Volume pricing becomes interesting from around five units; for farm projects with double- or triple-digit quantities we prepare project quotes including logistics and optional hosting.
Can I pre-order upcoming models?
Yes. New generations can be reserved with a down payment; the balance is due before shipping. Terms and delivery dates are stated bindingly in the quote.
Shipping & Customs
Where does JEWO deliver?
Worldwide, with a focus on the EU. Within the EU we ship without customs formalities; for non-EU countries we clarify the route and duties upfront in the quote. Full details: Shipping & Customs.
Do I have to pay customs duties or import VAT?
Within the EU: no. Delivery is an intra-community supply – with a valid VAT ID under the reverse-charge procedure. In non-EU countries the destination country’s import charges apply; on request we quote DDP shipping with all duties already included in the price.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock hardware is usually ready to ship within a few business days after payment, plus transit time (EU typically 2–7 business days). The binding delivery time for your model is stated in the quote – tracking number included from dispatch.
Payment
Which payment methods does JEWO accept?
Bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT), cryptocurrencies (incl. BTC, USDT) and card payment. All details including security guidance: Payment Methods.
How do I know my payment is safe?
Only pay to the bank details stated in the quote or invoice and always include the reference number. We never change bank details at short notice by email – verify any alleged change by phone. Payment requests via social media or messengers do not come from us.
What does reverse charge mean?
EU companies with a valid VAT ID receive a net invoice; you account for VAT in your own country (recipient liable for tax). This protects your liquidity because no foreign VAT has to be pre-financed.
Warranty & Support
What warranty do I get?
12 months statutory warranty from delivery, plus the respective manufacturer warranty (depending on brand and model). The full process including our DOA policy: Warranty & RMA.
What happens if a miner is defective?
Remote diagnosis first: many cases (firmware, PSU, network, pool configuration) are solved without sending anything in. If a hardware fault remains, you receive an RMA approval with shipping instructions – repair or replacement is handled as fast as possible.
What should I check right after delivery?
Inspect the packaging on acceptance and have visible transport damage documented by the driver. Test the units within 7 days; report DOA cases within that period with photos or video and the serial number.
Do you help with setup?
Yes. Pool configuration, wallet, firmware, network – our support accompanies commissioning in German and English and replies within 24 hours on business days.
Hosting & Operations
Does JEWO offer hosting?
Yes. We develop our own renewable-energy sites – including off-grid solar parks built specifically for mining. You remain the owner of your hardware; installation, operation and monitoring are on us. More on the hosting page or directly via request.
Can I run an ASIC miner at home?
Technically sometimes, practically rarely: air-cooled units reach 75–85 dB (continuously, comparable to a vacuum cleaner), draw 1.5–5.5 kW and produce corresponding heat. Realistic options are commercial premises, hydro models with heat reuse (see Heating with Miners) – or hosting.
What do I need to start?
The miner including PSU, an adequately sized power connection, stable internet (bandwidth is minimal, stability matters), a wallet and a mining pool. Our support guides you step by step.
How do I choose the right model?
Your electricity price, target coin/algorithm and efficiency (J/TH) are what count. Give us these parameters in your request – we recommend the model with the best balance of purchase price, efficiency and availability instead of simply the most expensive one.
